Most "drone sightings" turn out to be aircraft, satellites, planets or stars. The Skywatch De-confliction Tool shows anyone with a phone what is known to be up there, labelled where it appears in the sky, as a visual aid for judging a sighting, and lets teams at large events locate an object together.
Hold the phone up to the sky. Using its GPS, compass and camera, the app labels manned aircraft from public ADS-B data, satellites including the International Space Station and Starlink, the Moon, planets and bright stars, right where they appear.
A short guided calibration lines the labels up with the real sky using bright stars, planets, the Moon, a landmark or a nearby aircraft. Then compare what you see with what the app shows. The tool doesn’t identify, rank or classify anything; it shows where known objects should be, and the judgement stays with you.
At stadiums, festivals and parades, observers join an event with a short code. When several of them mark the same object, their sight lines are combined into a live 3D position and height, shown on the map alongside aircraft and Remote ID drones for comparison. The server suggests well-placed observers to help when a fix is needed.

An ADS-B aircraft layer and an Events menu on the Skywatch live map show the same events, members and located objects.
Uses your Skywatch sign-in, so sightings sit alongside your sensor detections.
Public ADS-B aircraft data, public satellite orbital elements and astronomical calculation; attribution shown in the app.
Members of a Skywatch team, or of an event while it’s on, see each other’s live position on the Skywatch map in the web app, the Skywatch iPhone app and the De-confliction app, right next to drones, acoustic detections and sensor coverage. No separate tracking app needed.
Create a standing team, or an event with a start and end time. Event members see each other only while the event is on.
Any member can invite people by email. Someone new creates their Skywatch account from the invite and joins straight away.
One location-sharing switch for your account, the same on every device. Teammates fade after 2 minutes without an update and disappear after 5.
Create a Skywatch account from any app and use it everywhere. Every account gets the De-confliction tool and the live map; law enforcement users can request full access from inside the app.
One account for the web app, the Skywatch iPhone app and the De-confliction app: the live map, alert zones, history, incident reports, teams and every module on this page.
